“With this series, I wanted to play with the idea of time. So much in Santa Fe has changed but so much is still recognizable and familiar. The photos of the Fényes-Curtin-Paloheimo archives played with my senses in that I could easily recognize landmarks that still define the Santa Fe landscape today. But upon closer inspection, the surrounding areas of the photos give away that they were snapped long ago. My included plein air paintings capture the contemporary beauty of every day scenes that I get to set the rhythm of my life to. I invite the viewer to step back with me, to ponder their place in time, and to find a new appreciation for their surroundings.
